“While pastors only get a few hours a week with youth in ministry, this generation is spending upwards 20 hours a week on the Internet, particularly social networks.”

I believe that the ease with which we can become saturated with secular culture through the Internet is largely responsible for why many of us avoid contemplating this medium for use in ministry. On the other hand, it’s precisely why it’s vitally important that we wake up and realise how much of our communication now occurs over the Internet, and providing solid advice and safe environments for young people is becoming of increasing importance!
