Warning. This is a chit chat post. If you value your time, just move on to something else.
Broken people
We live on a broken planet.
I’ve been reminded so many times in the last several weeks about just how broken the world really is. We must be passionately pursuing the gospel of Jesus Christ because it is the only thing that brings hope into this broken world.
Gospel living
I recently had the opportunity to study the gospel for about six weeks full time. All day. Every day.
One thing I learned is that I don’t know the gospel very well.
Another thing I’m learning is that the gospel is supposed to be at the centre of everything in life. Not only that, but the gospel is specially made for “tough stains.”
How easily we write the gospel off as cliche when in fact it is exactly what we need.
Don’t be weary in doing well. We will reap if we do not faint.
Group blog
I’m really enjoying the group blog. I am so thankful for all of those who are currently involved and who have been involved in previous teams. I’m thankful also for you, our readers. It’s all a bit echoy around here without you.

hi Jason, I agree that we need to think more on the gospel! how have you been studying it? ie themes / books / etc

I’m putting together a six-session seminar titled “Gospel Living, Walking in the Reality of Grace” for a speaking opportunity in September.
I’m trying to get an overview of the gospel which doesn’t leave me any time to dig too deep into many of the specific themes of the gospel. But I think if we understood the big picture better, we’d find it easier to fit all the themes into the picture more easily.

And the duck???

I’m happy to report that the duck is still alive, though rather a nervous creature at this stage.
