Neat. I was home-schooled (unregistered) from years 8-12. It is not for everyone, but I will steadfastly defend a parent’s rights to chose this option.

That’s amazing that ~90% don’t register in QLD… My parents home schooled me in the US back when it was illegal to home school with or without registration.

I’d have to think carefully about how to handle registration, but when the state offers home schooling as a privilege and not a right, it’s little surprise that parents don’t register.

Yes and for the priviledge of homeschooling, by registering you then have to pay to gov $2400 a year per child??? go figure.

We are registered in QLD and it does not cost anything to register, just a little bit of paperwork once a year.
