Some house cleaning

Well, this group blog segment has come to an end and the team is enjoying a week or so off. I’m thankful for each member of the blogging team. They have invested a lot of effort in this and I’m thankful for their ministry here.

I’m currently putting the next team together and look forward to introducing that to you soon.

I was away over the weekend at my church’s men’s retreat. We had a great time swimming, boating, caving, croc spotting, and all the other great camp stuff guys like to do. We had a good group of men and Ron Perry from Camp Ironwood shared with us from the Word. It was a good time of fellowship for our men. It was especially helpful to me to slow down for a few days and refocus.

Now my folder of links to share with you is getting way too full so I’ll give you a few now.

“paper pastors are never in a bad mood. They’re never cranky, or sleepy or sick. (Especially the dead ones.)”

Finally, if you haven’t seen this clip, it is a crucial reminder not to give up the gospel for mere moralism.

Man, I cannot believe that a preacher would of got up and preached a message like that. I would be as “righteously indignated” as Chandler here.

Yes. That passionate statement “Jesus wants the rose!!” encapsulates what is so stunning and hard to accept about the gospel. Jesus wants the rose!
