No place for pain

No pain

• We didn’t want to see our children go through pain, so we coddled them until they grew up to be lawless brats.

• We didn’t want to cause our friends pain, so we refused to ever confront them about their self-destructive patterns.

• We didn’t want to cause our bodies pain, so we collectively became the most obese, unhealthy generation in the history of the world.

• We didn’t want to cause our law-breakers pain, so we withheld the very thing that would rescue them from themselves—consequences.

• We didn’t want to cause our consciences pain, so we redefined “good” as not believing that anything is good or bad.

• We didn’t want to cause our young people pain, so we ensured their marital failure by encouraging them to express their sexuality in whatever way came to mind.

No Pain, No Gain• We didn’t want to cause ourselves pain, so we spent thousands of dollars per capita on equipment to endlessly distract ourselves from reality.

• We didn’t want to cause our unintended mothers pain, so we murdered their babies.

• We didn’t want to cause our elderly and infirmed pain, so we agreed to kill them and call it “mercy.”

We didn’t want to cause the human race pain, so we systematically did the most heinous and hateful things possible. We destroyed everything that is good and wholesome and brought death, disease, and pain on ourselves.

All to avoid pain.

Wow. That was kinda heavy to wake up to but so true! But isnt it great to know that Jesus didnt try to avoid pain in His life like we do! We would be pretty stuck if he had…

good post Jason, incisive and clear.

Thought-provoking, Jason. Thanks.
