Sadly the truth of God’s Word shared in love by Pastor Ken Harris was clearly misunderstood by the reports from the Jewish leaders. Pastor Harris explained that all unsaved sinners are in the position of going to hell, whether Jew or Gentile, and indeed this punishment is mentioned many times by the LORD Jesus Himself(e.g. see Luke 16 and the rich man and Lazarus). Yes, this is a hard truth taught by Jesus in Biblical parable. The eternal punshment of separation from the Living God in a place of eternal torment is indeed worse than the Holocaust, depsite the length and depth of the horror that it was to the Jewish nation. Pastor harris loves the Jews as His own Saviour was a Jew and asPpaul said: (Rom.10:1) “.. my heart’s desire & prayer for Israel is, that they might be saved”.
I have just returned from the Illawarra and spoke last night with Pastor Harris on this matter and he confirmed the fact that he shared the gospel of salvation which applies to Jew and non-Jew alike.
