    @Lucas M.,

    Sure. God’s primary passion and pursuit in everything that he does is his own glory. That is why he created the universe. That is why he created man. That is why Jesus Christ went to the cross. Everything God does, he does for his own glory.

    This is reflected all throughout Scripture, but I’ll point it out in the passage I footnoted there:

    Ephesians 1:4-6 – In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace.

    Ephesians 1:12 – So that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.

    Ephesians 1:14 – [The Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

    Ephesians 2:7 – So that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
