In this week’s post, I want to take the time to reflect on the last three months. In particular, the group blogging experience.

So where do you start?

Difficulties: Well, I’ve been blogging now for 6 months and I have to admit, it hasn’t been easy. Apart from the what-am-I-going-to-write-next issue, I found that it was intimidating writing alongside some fine Australian Christian writers. These were people I could sit and listen to about the things of God for an evening and a day.

Blessings: Despite the problems, what I have found though is not a bunch of know-it-alls but a group of people with very real lives. I found reading about people’s devotional discoveries, or their personal experiences both in their domestic and public lives, I found people with a willingness to declare God’s faithfulness, I found people fellowshipping around the gospel! And you know I found my heart being blessed each day.

Reality: To see God at work in the ordinary lives of my fellow bloggers helped me see that these are real people who serve a real God. These were people from a range of backgrounds and experiences and the common denominator, God! Wow! The God we serve is interested in being involved with our life. Whether that be planning for a church or ministry, or to raising children, or witnessing, or commenting on the world news, God was the focus. From the world stage to the home life, God was real to these people. That was the true learning experience…

Thankfulness: Praise to God for the opportunity to be in His service! I would also like to thank all the writers for sharing their time and experiences. Thanks to the GMT tech team for putting together a place like InFocus.

Advice: To all those who read these blogs, I would encourage you to write about your experiences in the Christian life. Start a blog on your own webpage or in a journal. Write about things you are learning in ministry and in your own personal life. See how God is involved with every detail of your life, and you will be better off for it.

Peace and grace to all in Christ.
