Does Satan Exist: TV Debate With Mark Driscoll

ntl_faceoff2_satan_090312_mnjpg

I normally don’t post links, but this is worth watching: a televised debate on the existence of Satan.  The debate aired this week and pits philosopher Deepak Chopra and a bishop versus Pastor Mark Driscoll and Annie Lobert, founder of “Hookers for Jesus.”

I found the debate fascinating, sobering and even entertaining.  It’s interesting to see Chopra and Bishop Pearson use a range of arguments from evolution to higher criticism to anthropology to New Age teaching, as well as multiple quotes from Scripture.  Watch how they attempt to undercut the Bible in particular, and ultimately the Gospel.

Driscoll responds firmly and graciously with Scriptural arguments.  Although the debate was on Satan, it was more about Jesus — the way it should be!

(note: occasionally the videos would restart, which was a minor inconvenience and may not occur to you)

Wow. I finally took the time to watch the whole debate. Thank God for Driscoll’s gracious and intelligent approach. He did an amazing job of preaching Christ and His gospel.
