Lina grew up in Lebanon but studied at Bible college in Sydney. Lina, and her husband Tony, then served as missionaries in Lebanon for seven years before moving back to Sydney, Australia. Lina oversees the Sunday School ministries at Fellowship Baptist Church. Lina has four children.
Why is it very hard to tell your brothers and sisters what they really need to hear? You watch them hurting themselves and others. Then you start the " last words" scenario in your mind and rehearse what needs to be said. By "last words"I mean the words that a dieing person can utter . Why are we scared to say the truth in love? Isn't Open rebuke better than secret love? Is it our own sin that hinders us? We are not quick to remove the "plank" from our eyes ? These are the thoughts going on in my mind at the moment. Today my Muslim friend is coming to visit. This is part of her last email to me : Sister I have pure, clean intentions to show you the Truth of Islam....I have been honest with you that I am NOT open to Christianity what so ever in the sense that I have researched it and the Bible and I have already come to a conclusion and reconfirmed the Truth as I knew it . My point of retelling you this is that we have to decide where we are going from here.......... Today I said bye to my son,my daughter in law and my grandson. We had them for a very blessed week. The house looked like it has been hit by a bomb! A bomb of love , joy , laughter and precious moments of bonding with the addition to our family. Thank the Lord for our families. Read more
Since most GMTers joinned Facebook , there has been a steady decline in GMT posts. It has become easier to communicate with a larger number of contacts and acquaintances and who wants to duplicate their posts ?? Do not get me wrong , I like Facebook especially as we have family over seas and FB seems to keep us connected. Yet , there is a very sad part to FB. You read "christian" posts and comments , and I mean Christians that you taught in Sunday School , Christians that are "faithful" in attending church meetings , that do not have the Lord on their minds. Not to forget mentioning the poses in photos that are taken....
