6 months on

Our little boy Michael is now 6 months old. infocus 10.09

He is just learning to crawl, eat solids and of course to refuse some foods like rice cereal that he doesn’t care for. Perhaps there is a battle of the wills coming up.

We have been blessed with a baby who sleeps through the night and accordingly, so do his parents.

We love him more than he knows.

No it doesn’t take having your own child to understand something of the Father’s love for His children.

But it certainly does shed some light on Scriptures that I have known for some time but have now been able to grasp more fully. These being:-

As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him.
For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.
Psalm 103:13-14

If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?  Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! Luke 11:11-13

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! 1 John 3:1
